I hope she lives to be 100 She is a bad owner but a great lady who has done alot of good for the city and state. But who gets ownership for both the franchises?

I think the proceeds from the sale of the saints and pelicans go into a trust. The money is donated to the city and other charities by the executor. That guy is: wait for it ... Mickey Loomis LoL

I’m pretty sure she will die eventually.

I don't wish death on Gayle but I do wish she'd sell the teams to someone who wants to keep them in Nola & succeed

So if she dies tomorrow. Loomis is basically but not officially owner of both franchises?

After Gayle Benson's death, her plan is to sell the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going to a charitable foundation supporting the New Orleans community, ensuring the teams stay local, according to her recent statements. She has reiterated she is not selling the teams now but has set up a succession plan with executives like Dennis Lauscha to manage the sale and distribution of funds post-mortem to benefit local causes like education, health, and arts.
Key Details of Her Plan:
Sale Upon Death: The teams will be sold after she passes away, not before.
Charitable Proceeds: 100% of the sale's proceeds will fund a charitable foundation for New Orleans.
Community Benefit: Funds will support education, healthcare, arts, and humanitarian causes in the area.
Keep Teams in New Orleans: Plans are in place to ensure the winning bidder keeps the teams in the city.
Estate Executor: Team President Dennis Lauscha and General Manager Mickey Loomis are set to oversee the sale as executor of her estate.

So yes until the sale I suppose so. I'm not a lawyer so not exactly sure but that is the plan.

Whoever buys will have to keep the Saints in New Orleans

My best friend is on the committee that is designing her statue that will be placed outside the Superdome next Fall.
I hope Lady Gayle is happy and healthy to enjoy her special recognition - even though she is modest and doesn’t usually like that type of attention/spotlight/positive praise!

She should go to a Pelicans game and sit in the stands. She will feel at home if she doesn’t like positive praise.

I know nothing about the documents or what they have set up, but I wouldn’t be very confident about this.

Archdiocese
I’m pretty sure the archdiocese of New Orleans can’t own a football team.
Now maybe they’re the main beneficiary of a sale.

Gayle Benson has no business being an NFL owner! She is just in it for her fortune and fame

Not even if they are named the Saints?

There isn't another city in the US where a team can relocate except for San Antonio and St Louis. Chances of that are zero.

I've been telling yall for years. This is why those two are never going anywhere and we will be stuck in mediocracy until her death.
She initally wanted to set up a trust that would own the teams and the revenue would then go to various charities. The NFL told her to frick off with that nonesense.

A statue! This has to be a joke, right?
