Heading to downtown (Front St) Natchitoches Friday & Saturday.
What are the better walking distance restaurants?
Which ones to avoid?
Does not have to be fancy - just decent food.
Thanks if you have any info!

I was there this past June.
We had a good dinner at Mayeux's. That is probably
the most popular place in town.
Merci Beaucoup is probably the best and most upscale, but we were there for a private event.
There are several good casual places on Front St.

It’s not walking distance, but we always go to Mariners on the Lake. It will be a pain in the arse eating in “downtown” Natchitoches so you should look into getting away and going to a place like that.

We were there last weekend and everything on Front Street was mobbed. We drove to Flying Heart brew pub and had a pizza

Lasyone's Meat Pie restaurant is our go to for casual dining. Get the fried green beans.

Mayeauxs is the best spot on front street. Grab breakfast/brunch at lasyone's. Merci Beaucoup is also very good. Drive a half mile up the road and grab a poboy at T Johnnys in the river.
If you're looking to get off front street, Mariners is solid.
That is Natchitoches.

Mayeaux’s had an 1:45 wait yesterday afternoon (but they had the parade yesterday so hopefully it won’t be that bad next weekend).

Second for Flying Heart. Great beer and really good food. Pizza is excellent. Also, get the wings, highly recommend.
