ESPN final projection Seems about right. Illinois 8-4, was highly ranked early in season. Sounds familiar. Dec 30

Remember when Saban won the first Sugar Bowl in his LSU tenure? Against Illinois. Who were favored. Ill take it.

Dominick Davis and Josh Reed went the frick off in that game. Davis had 4 TDs and reed had like 240 yards on 14 catches I believe.

Would be a tough one honestly.

Rather see a bottom feeder Big10 team so we can actually get a win

At least we’ll get the bowl practices. Have to go back and look at Illinois’ record but I think they had a couple of impressive wins this year. Brett Bielema is coaching them.

I think everyone wanted Nebraska. Also I really like the liberty bell trophy so was stoked about that

I was at that Sugar Bowl and bought a ticket hotel package. It's was an Illinois package....stayed at their team hotel and sat in their section.

One of the most satisfying LSU wins for me ever, we beat the shite out of them and a very fun night in the Quarter and hotel after the game. They were absolutely certain they were going to win and if I had a dollar for every time I heard "you know you don't belong in this game right".
