With so many teams across all levels of football being held back by OL play (including LSU this year), it just seems risky to go with a guy with such a bad rep

Hard to criticize Kiffin when it comes to his offense but this done seem like a question mark.

I've yet to see one constructive post explaining why it's bad.

Someone posted that kentucky fans didn't like him and that grew legs and now continues to get regurgitated on TD. The rant isn't known for having the best opinions. It's just group think. So until someone gives me an actual reason to think this is a bad hire I'll just assume Lane knows better than the posters here

How can you judge how good any offensive coach was when they were under Mark Stoops?

Having a mobile quarterback will help our oline, no matter how strong the hire is

Was thrilled when he left Alabama to go back to Kentucky. Never thought he lived up to the hype when he was hired.

Hate this. Would’ve rather moved Atkins to full Oline.

Kentucky fans forgot about their terrible qb play and lack of playmakers-lol

Seems to be well respected in the coaching world if guys like Saban and Kiffin are interested

Sometimes fans can be tards and blame position coaches for shite that’s not completely on them

I currently trust the guy running the offense to target a staffer that gets with his offense until proven otherwise

I was hoping for LSU’s sake he was going to the tigers as an analyst.

Chris Kapilovic

DeBoer and Grubb Miss having Scott Huff. Won the Joe Moore Award at Washington and is now TE coach with the Rams.

Not sure this is not entirely true. If an O line can't generate a run game or create clean pockets and passing lanes, a mobile QB will just be running for his life every play. You can't threaten the entire field or possess the ball like this. Mobile QBs add a huge dimension, but they don't fix everything automatically if the O line is not at least competent. That said, I have no idea if this is a good hire, but I hope it is!

Why you think he’s a bad OL coach?

Hard to believe with an average OLine we'd be in the playoffs and CBK would still be coach.
