Pirro: Pipe Bomber was "very much into" pipe bombs. [Why only once, 5 years ago?]

We will never know the quality of the evidence allegedly compiled against Brian Cole, Jr.. He will plead guilty in exchange for a lighter sentence and the FBI will claim the "ongoing investigation" prevents disclosure of the evidence.

One incredible thing that the Feds weirdly continue to stress is what a danger Cole, Jr. was. Here's Jeanine Pirro "not commenting" on an active investigation/case (don't you love that selective dodge?) to Laura Ingraham.

Watch the minute starting at 4:45. In describing Cole as someone you wouldn't ordinarily suspect of this, Pirro says the FBI found other bomb making "products"..."pipes, wires, timers" at his house. As with the probable cause affidavit, there's no mention of explosive material.

Then, at 5:38, Pirro says "he was into this [making pipe bombs]...very much." You can see her look into the camera as if she's thinking: "What a dumb thing to say. There's no evidence to suggest he planted pipe bombs except that one time 5 years ago with 'bombs' that had 60 minute timers but were discovered over 15 hours later...still intact...and not detected (twice) by bomb sniffing dogs. Thank goodness Ingraham won't ask me obvious questions."

Why do you think they are exaggerating how dangerous Cole, Jr. was? They knew he wasn't a serious safety threat. When arresting this supposedly dangerous bomber they took no measures to protect the neighbors beforehand. Instead, through a bullhorn outside, they just ordered all the occupants of the house to come out. If they thought he had bomb making materials in the house, why not arrest him on his way to work...or at least when he stepped out of the house to get to his car...when he didn't have access to possible bombs?
