Texas tech has played one of the weakest schedules in the country

What’s the news? I only see a blind link.

Ole Miss did the same thing. That window has now largely closed now that contracts must be approved by Deloitte.
That’s the primary reason why Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU. LSU is better positioned for this new NIL era.

He did not explain anything other than they spent a lot of money to get players in the portal. Literally nothing different than any other program does. Just spend more money.

Are you under the impression this is some sort of unique or secret strategy?

They will return to earth. They have a high school coach running their team

Link opens fine for me.

Compare where TT is this year vs 90% of the other power 4 schools. They spent more early because they could, and it paid off.

Maybe. That whole process if facing many challenges atm, hence the feeding frenzy this past week. Most schools aren't worried about compliance because there will be none anytime soon.

No question. Not sure we are 25-30 mil on top of the revenue sharing pie better positioned. We are promising money as if Deloitte doesnt exist. No way we can "honestly" spend 25 mil in NIL money and pass compliance as they described it would be. Everything over $500 subject to approval. Deloitte isn't staffed to vet all those transactions from 100 different programs. Just the 25 mil from us alone would overwhelm them. Sounded good in a press release though.(compliance)

Texas Tech winning this Big 12 is not like winning the former Big 12

Big XII is basically just a non power 5 conference at this point.

"We paid them the money they wanted up front."
That was basically it.

He said “generational opportunity” and made it sound like he isn’t willing to spit that dough long term. I would like to see if they don’t win it all how willing he is to front that much money every single year.

ROTFL. Deloitte has 10's of thousands of full time employees in India. They work for 1/4 or a 1/5 of your salary. And they know how to write code, they understand data analytics, they know how to use API's to automate information exchange between applications, databases, on and on and on.
Many companies can vet huge numbers of transactions. How do you think banks catch credit card fraud?
25mil from LSU is not gonna overwhelm anybody.
