Apparently it’s him or this guy Will Hall and while boosters don’t want O, they REALLY don’t want this other person for some reason.

Will Hall was passing game coordinator I think under Sumrall there this year. He also was previously HC at USM with bad results.

O has the binder and Ponamsky. He'll work his butt off at Tulane just to get another shot elsewhere if successful. If he's hired at Tulane failure isn't an option, because He'll never be offered a HC position again.

O just got his last paycheck from LSU. He needs another revenue stream. Got to keep them blondes happy. Just kidding. Hope he does well if he gets it. No matter how it ended, he still brought the greatest season of LSU in history.

I think what you're saying (and I agree) is that when properly motivated, Orgeron can be a good coach. He was a good (not great) coach and ran a good program for 3 1/2 seasons here and manufactured the greatest college team of all time. It wasn't until after the championship that he became complacent and then the wheels fell off completely
