Should have tarred and feathered Beaner for hiring him in the first place.

Are people calling it a homer run hire doing so just because they remember him once being a hot name ?

With how much portal/recruiting focus now is on developing players for teh NFL, you'd think using a Briles offense would lead to MAJOR negative recruiting.

His results speak otherwise

But if it makes Gamecock fans sleep better thinking he is, then congrats on the hire

All of those rankings are higher than what was seen this year, excluding Arkansas in 2020.

So yes, he will be an improvement.

Their Offense sure isn't. There are hundreds of high school programs across America that run the foundational stuff that they did. Lane Kiffin's number 1 pass concept is what he learned from Kendal Briles. Same goes for Josh Heupel at Tennessee, and Jeff Lebby at Mississippi State. Lane Kiffin has been heavily influenced by what he learned from Kendal Briles & Jeff Lebby. He said as much in his opening press conference at LSU last week.

Not arguing if it will be an improvement, but an average offensive ranking of 57th best in the country doesn’t equate to the rep that Briles has as an OC. I’ve seen him described by some as a home run hire which is laughable.

Considering who’s hiring him it is a home run hire. Beaner has made retarded decisions when it has come to his offensive staff.
