Trump urges Europe to change course before it's too late

President Donald Trump delivered his most forceful critique of Europe yet in a new National Security Strategy released quietly early Friday.
The strategy lays out a sweeping recalibration of U.S. policy toward Europe, urging European governments to reclaim national sovereignty, restore open debate, secure their borders, and reduce reliance on what Washington calls the EU’s centralized bureaucracy in Brussels.
In the document, the president portrays Europe as an over-regulated, increasingly censorious bloc that has lost “self-confidence” and is facing “civilizational erasure” because of years of uncontrolled immigration.

It accuses Europe of leaning heavily on American power while refusing to take responsibility for its own security and its long-term direction.
The new policy document argues that European institutions “undermine political liberty and sovereignty,” that speech restrictions and sweeping regulations suppress democratic discourse, and that immigration policies have fractured social cohesion, according to the text of the strategy.
It cites collapsing birth rates and fading national identities as evidence that Europe is heading toward a demographic and cultural breaking point.
“Should present trends continue, the continent will be unrecognizable in 20 years or less,” the document warns.
Would agree but of course Europe ain't having it.

All the videos I've seen indicate that the citizens of European countries want their borders closed. The politicians running their countries want the borders open. Why would politicians rule in opposition to their voters? Gotta be big money involved somewhere.

The politicians are insulated from the crime and carnage that invasions fester.

Money equals power.

This right here..... frick em. Withdraw from NATO and lets concentrate on our own half of the world. We gain no benefit from NATO that we can't do without. It's ridiculous how we allow Europe to take advantage of us.
The EU just slapped a huge fine on X for not censoring.

I'd fully support Trump sending troops to go clear out Europe.

This "fining" of american on line companies for lack of censorship may face incremental tariffs from Trump, as it should.
Its a catch 22 for the companies. They either hire 1000s of workers to scan for "offensive" posts, or they allow the EU to regulate and remove all semblance of free speech. They dont want to remove "offensive" posts but "opposing" posts.
When they started seizing assets against Elon in Brazil......it was our own govt behind the scenes orchestrating it because they knew legally they could not do it in the US. I would bet its Soros and probably our own tax dollars funneled through some NGOs that are at work in Europe now. Those new green deal dollars of Biden's at work.

Trump is 100% correct.
If this continues the USA will no longer have allies in Europe.

The Berlin wall was torn down, renting east and West Germany. Then the EU was formed and headquartered in Germany. Now, the EU is adopting east Germany, communist policies for all of Europe.

I think that action has been the biggest factor in Trump issuing this statement. This is not your father’s Europe.

Europe's already jumped off the bridge. They are now just waiting to hit the water. No going back for them at this point.
