You are correct

But all jokes aside I was wondering if there was risk for us paying a first time HC $4 million

He was the dude everyone wanted but I have no idea if it would have worked out exactly like people thought

I mean I’d be excited about Baker as a HC for Tulane but let’s not pretend “everyone” wanted him as one

Of course there’s a risk but if there’s a possibility of breaking the cycle of losing your successful coach every few years it would be with one who went to school there. Still would be tough to keep up. You’d almost need a coach who has intermittent success but not yearly. So he may have been great at that. Still, if Tulane continues being successful through coaching changes that’s not exactly a bad problem.

Blake Baker would’ve built a monster at Tulane and im honestly shocked he turned it down since he played there. I really thought he would take it and actually stay a while.

If I were a Tulane fan, and thank God I’m not, I’d be devastated.

Still think Tulane can make a good hire of course, but definitely didn’t see Baker rejecting them.
