Missed out on Cooley. OL is where we need dudes now. Praying we prey on the portal when that opens up.

Filling an OLine via portal feels like a heavy lift for whatever reason. Maybe it's because the cadence and timing, working together and such, is so important and plugging folks in a line seems difficult. Maybe i'm wrong, that's the perception.

The problem with the LSU OL this year wasn’t the portal guys, it was the returning players not developing (except for Adams before he got hurt).

I mean it is either that or you do it with recuits, which offers you the same problem but with less experience

I think a lot of people forget we have a 5 star OL that was hurt all last year Solomon Thomas and redshirted but could very well start next year along with Curne and hopefully Braelin Moore can be bought to return at center but I think he heads for the NFL. Tyree Adams was up and down before he got hurt but there is a lot of talent in that kid. If the portal doesn’t have upgrades we could see Adams and Thomas at LT and RT with Curne moving inside. Bad coaching and technique hurt us badly. We have the horses in the barn, just have to break them of bad habits and play with good technique.

I understand our OL sucked. That’s an understatement but guys can improve greatly over an offseason in college with coaching that’s worth a crap?

Am I foolish for thinking we might already have 3 starters on the team and only need 2 more (not including high upside backups):

OT: Tyree Adams
OG: Carius Curne
C: Braelin Moore

These guys are still young and have experience and potential. Let them fight for a starting role and could be a solid backup:
- Weston Davis
- Ory Williams
- Coen Echols
- Solomon Thomas

Not saying we shouldn’t go get upgrades at all 5 positions, and Braelin Moore is iffy, but the cupboard might not be as bare as it seems.
