Weather at Tulane tomorrow could be miserable for fans.

New Orleans would be a great spot for it. Or Houston. Dallas already has the Big 12 game.

Edited: looks like the bad weather will clear up before the game

I’m not sure why AAC, SBC, MWC, CUSA, etc do their conference championship games at the home team’s stadium.

Is it issue with attendance/travel to a neutral site?

Probably. Hard to do neutral site easily when many of these conferences are now spread across the whole country.

Yeah. It's the same reason why baseball regionals and super regionals are on campus "neutral site" games.

Would they even come close to filling a dome stadium?

Those aren't big fanbases and it's a lot easier to guarantee a crowd at a home venue. ACC is a power conference and it can't fill up a neutral site championship game.

I’m really looking forward to the game tomorrow. It should be a thriller plus a playoff spot and the 1st round beat down of the AAC champ is on the line.

Those schools don’t have a traveling fan base, or a big fan base at all.

Neutral-site stadium would probably lose money hosting because of small crowds, and the league probably would lose money renting the stadium for the same reason.

The answer to your question is $$$$. It costs less to have games on campus and it is easier to fill a stadium than a neutral site.

If they moved it to the Superdome the crowd would not fill up the stadium. Plus the Saints would get the concessions, parking, and other nonticket based revenue per the Saints lease. That’s a lot of money that Tulane and the AAC would give up. They will play in the rain.
