Going to NYC with my wife and looking to do a couple of good dinners while there and also get some good dim sum.

I haven’t been since I was young, so the scale is a bit overwhelming. Appreciate any help!

Curious about Jungsik if anyone has experienced it.

It’s kind of a big city. Narrowing down things like neighborhood, price point, types of food you want would be useful.

Staying at The Mark in the Upper East Side. Omakase/Italian/Dim Sum/Elevated Chinese.

Going to try to do one of the 3 Michelin star spots but I know those reservations can be a challenge.

St. Anselm is a short walk and would be my ultimate recommendation for steak, but I get why Luger is always mentioned.

Have zero idea what this means, but Brooklyn is fantastic. My dad lives next to McCarren Park in Williamsburg and I absolutely love visiting. Heading out for Christmas in a few weeks.

Sushi Noz- 2 star Omakase in the upper east side. Expensive, but worth the splurge.

Didn't mean that bad in any way toward Brooklyn.

I was just expecting someone to say "that's in Brooklyn, a long way from the upper east side."

And I just ordered my 13yo some Peter Luger sauce to put in his Christmas stocking. He loves it.

Your best bet is Le Bernardin, in the lounge. Go when they open, at 6. The lounge is first come, first serve and they serve the full menu. It will be decorated for Christmas and beautiful, sit at the bar, which is a wonderful experience. You can walk in and have the full tasting menu if that's what you want.

I haven't been in a minute but my favorite restaurant in the city is Union Square Cafe

It's farm to table. Their produce comes fresh from the farmers at the Union Square Farmer's Market. The baked duck is outstanding.

Seconding a Le Bernardin visit but would suggest you try and go for Friday lunch.

NYC Restaurant Guide

I like to use this guide for suggestions, although it can also be a bit overwhelming. Allows you to sort by food type, neighborhood, Best Of Lists, etc.
