Should Bama get in if they get blown out this weekend?

Lets say its UGA 31-10

Yes, I think they should get in.
#1 they already beat UGA on the road
# 2 if they are in now, why penalize them for having to play that game
no different then what happened to SMU last year
their overall schedule still measures up

Id like to see them not get in because I guarantee the response would be for the SEC to immediately eliminate the SECCG

Yeah this should be more important that whatever happens this weekend. Only way I could see them left out is if they get stomped AND the QB gets injured.
The only wildcard is that the committee would love a get out of jail free card to let both ND and Miami in. They're going to get roasted if and when they let ND over Miami.

the SEC is not eliminating the SEC Champ game
that is a bell cow, stand alone game for this conference and the commish is not shelving what that event means to the importance of the SEC and it's brand
it's probably the biggest single game event that puts eyeballs on the conference

No 3 losses should be out especially if you only play 8 conf games

I am not sure of the ratings since the 12 team playoff or anything, but, for me, its not must see TV at all. I used to never miss it, but it really kinda doesn't matter now.
ETA: Out if they get blown out. All of the sudden, the committee will focus on the Florida State loss v. who they beat so the important criterium fits their rankings.

Unless it is a one-score game, I think they are out with a loss and a BYU win. It is a razor thin margin between Bama and ND. Notre Dame will jump them
Texas Tech is going to fall to 6 if they lose to BYU.

Damn, you must be pretty confident that your team isn't made for a playoff run this year.

ND is going to jump Alabama if they lose by 13 to the #3 team in the country who they have already beat at their place? All with a top 5ish SOS and most ranked wins(idk if this is true anymore) and same record as ND?
That would be gay af

So, pretty much how things have been with a committee and humans using whatever metric they want AFTER they choose who they want ranked at what spot?

The offense is legitimately broken. There is no way for them to improve enough to make a run if Ty can’t throw the football. And he can’t throw the football.
The defense is ready for a run. The offense has devolved into pure dogshit and there is a zero percent chance it improves much at all.

Yeah I think the committee sucks.
They hang on to Oregon and PSU waaaaay too long. These 2 teams have an insane benefit of the doubt with the committee.
The committee fricked the rankings last year with Oregon and are doing it again with ND this year.

Pot meet Kettle.

National sports media was already pushing the narrative this morning that they should be in no matter what. No other school gets the kind of protection bama does.

They typically drop Alabama off a cliff when they lose
Posted on 12/3/25 at 2:02 pm to Cosmo
Absolutely not. They shouldn't be in period with 3 losses over multiple teams with 2. Alabama shouldn't get in with a loss over Miami and Vandy.

Yea, that's not gonna happen.
