It'll be air conditioned... duh... the roof doesn't actually lift up, that's just for the model to see inside.

I’d love to know what was spent to develop that model

I’d imagine the tech involved with the A/C system will be pretty advanced. Wonder if they’ll use a circulating water pipe system to help cool it.

Bet a modern marvels episode on it would be great

I would love to see that. The los angles football stadium is another really neat one to rabbit hole into.

The AC system

I feel like this whole thing is going to be a dud. A's ownership is cheap with player salaries, which you need to go hard on today's game. Then, there's no local foundation built. I know the A's moved from KC, but Vegas is such a flighty place. I guess the Girls lden Knights have done ok, but that's because they started winning immediately.

Seems like that franchise could do without the top two tiers of upper deck seating.

I like it though.

Sounds like some BS to me. If it is hot no matter how much cool air you push out it will still be hot. I have used some swamp coolers it is still miserable. I know Vegas is a dry heat and may cool more by adding moist cool air. But the key is to keep the moist air moving. Then the other issue is if you are using water for this evaporative system how much strain does that put on the already limited water resources out there.

Sounds to me like the first Jurassic Park, we spared no expense, and the system fails on a hot 120 degree day in August.

The raiders became exponentially more valuable in Vegas. They had rebuilt into a playoff team when the NFL railroaded them and John Gruden. Then they hired bad coaches, but have still attracted big names like Adams.
