RINO Mike Turner voices concern on 2nd boat strike.

A top Republican and Democrats in Congress suggested on Sunday that American military officials might have committed a war crime in President Trump’s offensive against boats in the Caribbean after a news report said that during one such attack, a follow-up strike was ordered to kill survivors. The remarks came in response to a Washington Post report on Friday that said that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had given a verbal order to kill everyone aboard boats suspected of smuggling drugs, and that this led a military commander to carry out a second strike to kill those who had initially survived an attack in early September. “Obviously if that occurred, that would be very serious, and I agree that that would be an illegal act,” Representative Mike Turner, Republican of Ohio and a former chairman of the Intelligence Committee, said on “Face the Nation” on CBS.

Another pesky RINO calling for investigation:
"U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, the Mississippi Republican who leads the Senate Armed Services Committee, is vowing to conduct “vigorous oversight” following reports that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. military “to kill everybody” on an alleged drug boat."

This is a very, very coordinated attack on the administration.
I wondered what "they" would try this time after everything else they did failed... this is it- they are going to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I haven't followed this very closely, but IF they used a missile to "clean up" a couple of swimmers they're supplying the enemy ammunition for the attacks. It may be ok legally, you can even make the argument that it's ok ethically, but politically it's a misstep.

Those Seditious Six got dragged over the illegal orders thingy so the media is trying to get their dnc creds back by running this narrative. NYT of all places actually pushed back yesterday

When the admin makes it so easy, I don't see why y'all are shocked.
The admin is acting in pretty unprecedented ways stretching what legal authority they have to the very end of its limits. Then potentially doubling down on the aggression with how they're executing the plans based around this stretched power.
None of this is normal stuff and it's pretty unprecedented. Mistakes are bound to happen with that strategy, especially when you consider who is crafting the plans.

I believe the story is that these were effectively casualties from the initial attack, who were initially in the boat, who were then blown up.

Even pushback keeps the narrative front and center. The term unlawful orders is popping up everywhere. Repetition will sow seeds of doubt within ranks of personnel AND give cover to those that already took issue with admin47.

They really put their butts on the line with this operation with shaky legal justification. I figured in terms of operation, they would be buttoned up and not do anything too stupid like blow up a family. But, this particular incident is one of those things where Pete's macho act may cost him.

Very easy to blunt the attack. Release all video and audio of the sinking of the boat.

Once again you show your America hating self.

If the second strike was on the boat because it hadn't been sunk then I don't see the problem. If you're supposed to destroy a piece of equipment you destroy the equipment, if that kills an operator oh well. Rounding up survivors happens after the objective has been accomplished.

And? It's not really a relevant counterpoint to this situation.
The only overlap is that it was also a bad political decision.

Or he understands what actual terrorism is, and our history with losing the WOD, and what caused the fentanyl crisis.

Whistleblowers arise in the military for future use.

People tend to want to believe in bad things in others, psychologically it seems to uplift them as the better person

Again, per the story, the focus was on the people, not the boat.

I don't think we should be blowing up civilians of another country off of their coast on the paper thin justification they are terrorists because Americans can't stop doing drugs. Why is this so hard to understand?

The story from the NYT? I'll take that with a grain of salt.
If hitting the boat was legit and we hit it again because it wasn't sinking, I don't really care what was said in a war room during the op. shite gets said in those all the time that would end careers if it went public because people handle the stress differently.

If “unprecedented” meant “common” you would be correct.
I’m not even making a judgement on the morality or legality of it, but every president in the modern era has done similar, if not substantially worse.
Maybe they didn’t publicize it.
