LSU has hired offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. and five other assistant coaches for Lane Kiffin’s staff after they followed him from Ole Miss, according to copies of their term sheets obtained Monday night by The Advocate.
Weis first overlapped with Kiffin as a graduate assistant at Alabama, and he worked with him at both FAU and Ole Miss. Weis signed a three-year deal worth $6 million.

LSU also agreed to terms with co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Joe Cox, wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator George McDonald, inside wide receivers coach Sawyer Jordan, head of strength and conditioning Nick Savage and senior executive director of player personnel Mike Williams.

Member when his dad was at UF and we all made fun of his FUPA?
And then Les coincidentally pronounced “faux pas” as “fupa”?
Fun times.

Can’t be true. I was told that none of Kiffin’s staff followed him.

Hopefully enough to keep him from leaving for the USF HC job

There were rumors he would be going back to coach the playoffs, hopefully that’s put to rest.

Thought I read somewhere that he has said he isn’t ready for a HC gig yet and wants more experience as an OC before making that leap

He leaves here with a similar reaction to when he left UGA…very meh.

I must be out of touch with coaching positions because I've never heard of an "inside wide receivers" coach.
Regardless, they're all more than welcome to join our party.

Ha, well, we all have our knowledge gaps, I suppose. Thanks for filling this one in for me.

Atkins was the TE coach, kiffin brought his TE coach from OM so atkins is gone too
