I know everyone wants a new QB with all the new going on in the football program but Lane can do things with Van Buren. Keep an open mind.

Van Buren wont be here next year.

Glad he stepped up but he will be somewhere else next year. Hope he gets a good payday.

You'll get some heat because everyone thinks so highly of Nuss for some reason, but if you look at actual stats besides 4k passing yards, you'll see a QB who had a sub 50% completion quite a few games last year, and this year was sub 60% in most games until we threw 18/21 for a grand total of 120 yards.

MVB isnt good, but he can absolutely develop, something Nuss didnt do. Its going to take time, and a full offseason.

Now, I still think we grab a portal QB, but its not the end of the world if we have MVB as a starter next year.

These are the same guys who want to promote assistant coaches and don't make trades in their FF leagues. You get too comfortable with what you already have and go through life completely risk averse and end up stuck in a lifetime of underachievement

Not sure you can coach up not being a pussy. I don't trust MVB to fight for what is needed to win games.

Lane doesn't need a big time QB b/c the last QB he had was transferring into Temple before Lane saw his film and offered him. I'm talking about Trinidad. A few months ago you all wouldn't have wanted Trinidad either.

If he is willing to stay and learn under Kiffin I am all for him competing for the Starting Job in the Spring of 27.

I'll take things that happen at LSU for 1000 if CLM was still the HC at LSU.

I'm not going to disparage the kid. Having said that, we need to move in a different direction. He is not what LSU needs in the future at that position and hopefully, Lane will bring or recruit a good QB to come in and give us the best chance at success next year!
