Arch, #1 overall recruit in the country, choosing Texas over Ole Miss, with Lane at the helm, having the family connection to Ole Miss. It had to play a factor in Lane realizing that he was at his ceiling.

So thank the Mannings for allowing Arch to choose his own path, it’s the best thing they’ve done for the state, including the Manning Passing Academy, and only putting up 7 in the second half of Super Bowl XLIV/44

LSU was never getting Arch Manning.

So there's that.

Well how about the way they manipulated the NFL draft when Eli came out? Of course I am biased as well as none of them ever gave LSU a look.

You can also thank current Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding. While recruiting Arch for Bama, Golding made an off handed comment on a Zoom call with Arch about hoping Sark didn’t fall off the wagon again. Pissed off the Mannings and Arch’s HS coach who was also on the call.

Meh, Loved Archie and Peyton’s a national treasure. Funny as shite and even found a way to make Eli funny. But yeah, they shoulda sent one our way. Come on, Manning family. Love that family, though.

If Arch goes to Ole Miss over Texas, regardless of his production to this point, Lane might still be in Oxford over Baton Rouge, because he feels like he can pull top talent. Butterfly effect and whatnot.
