Let’s start off with current Ole Miss commits who I think LSU can/should target.

Landon Barnes, Edge, Duncanville, Texas
4*
National Rank 115
Position Rank 12
State Rank 17

Corey Barber, WR, Pinson, Alabama
4*
National Rank 169
Position Rank 25
State Rank 8

Damarius Yates, RB, De Kalb, Mississippi
4*
National Rank 126
Position Rank 12
State Rank 6

JC Anderson, TE, Mt Zion, Illinois
4*
National Rank 230
Position Rank 11
State Rank 7

Emanuel Tucker, OT, New Albany, Mississippi
4*
National Rank 319
Position Rank 32
State Rank 15

Craig Tutt, S, Murfreesboro, Tennessee
4*
National Rank 233
Position Rank 24
State Rank 8

Dorian Barney, CB, Carrollton, Georgia
4*
National Rank 264
Position Rank 24
State Rank 34

JaMichael Garrett, LB, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
4*
National Rank 378
Position Rank 27
State Rank 12

Now, let’s dive into guys currently committed elsewhere that could look for a change. Be it a coaching change at the school they are committed to, or impressed by the LSU hiring of Lane Kiffin.

Jase Mathews, WR, Leakesvillie, Mississippi
4*
National Rank 95
Position Rank 13
State Rank 5

Tristen Keys, WR, Hattiesburg, Mississippi
5*
National Rank 11
Position Rank 2
State Rank 1

Bralan Womack, S, Flowood, Mississippi
5*
National Rank 30
Position Rank 1
State Rank 2

TJ White, LB, Jackson, Mississippi
4*
National Rank 55
Position Rank 4
State Rank 4

Dereon Albert, DL, Jackson, Mississippi
4*
National Rank 382
Position Rank 41
State Rank 17

I’d like LSU to land Damarius Yates. LSU currently has 0 RB’s committed, and Kiffin knows how to evaluate and spot good RB talent. Mississippi produces good RB’s. Kevin Smith is coming over. Yates seems like a good prediction to flip.

There are big time Mississippi recruits committed to Auburn, and Tennessee. Hugh Freeze is gone from Auburn. Rumors swirling about Hupel and Penn St.

Jase Mathews, and Tristen Keys were very close to coming to LSU as is. With a coaching change at Auburn, and a potential one at Tennessee, I think it makes sense for LSU to possibly flip 1 of them.

Emanuel Tucker was previously committed to LSU. Kiffin, and his O-line coach will now be at LSU. Tucker makes sense.

JaMichael Garrett is right there in Baton Rouge as is, seems like a possibility too.

With Golding remaining at Ole Miss, I am more inclined to believe some of Ole Miss’s defensive recruits may stay put.

Most realistic options after all of this:

RB Damarius Yates
OT Emanuel Tucker
WR Corey Barber
WR Tristen Keys
WR Jase Mathews

and yes, LSU will not land all 3 of those WR’s but I think it’s fair to say they could steal 1-2 of them back.

From what I understand, Keys got a very lucrative Adidas deal with Tennessee. Don’t see him flipping.

Makes sense if Keys stays put, even with a coaching change. Hell, I’ll take Mathews and Barber gladly though.
