Wonder if we get the true events on BK firing.
Reading between the lines…
1) board / governor and boosters wanted BK gone, they made it happen
2) deep down SW didn’t fire and opposed the firing BK. So Scott was let go
3) verge had connections with saban. Lane always wanted the LSU job. Mutual interest
4) verge interim AD saga. As soon as verge got lane locked up that week with saban’s help / blessing, the interim tag was removed

The real, power people, not the Governor, not the AD got fed up with the situation. Those with the money who are known and the ones not known made this happen.

You can’t get your arse handed to you by TAMU, it’s embarrassing and shameful.

I have a feeling that there was a back door call to lane. See if he was interested in the job before firing bk. Lane probably said hell ya and LSU told bk to go kick rocks.

TAMU has beat LSU regularly until the 2000s. TAMU is a football powerhouse in waiting.

I believe there was likely an all but 100% assurance with Kiffin by this point. Everything else was just putting the pieces in place.

Sounds like you have it. All seems logical and probably pretty close to what happened.

Especially not at home. We had a winning streak going back to 1994.

Please, everyone beat LSU in the 90’s yet since 1990 LSU leads the series during that time 11-10

LSU leads the overall series 36-25-3

I’ve yet to see anything that will convince me that A&M is really anything but basically what they’ve always been. People have been predicting their move to “powerhouse” status since a good bit before they joined our conference.

But but…People keep saying the governor had no influence over BK being fired.

And not a single Big 12, SEC, or National Championship to show for it

Wrong LSU started losing to ATM in the early 90s and I think after the 95 game LSU canceled the contract that was in place to play ATM. LSU did not play ATM again until the joind the SEC.

My memory could be wrong but this is how I remember it going down.
