All Ole Miss had to do was let Kiffin coach the playoffs and all this mess could have been avoided. They f’ed him and now he is f’ing them back. It simple.

100% truth

He gave notice. Let him work it out. Show the potential HCs out there you can manage this with class.

The season calendar created this mess

I hate Ole Miss in my DNA but you cannot have the HC of one of your oldest rivals in the building during the early signing/transfer portal period

it also hurts LSU if he coaches the playoffs. We probably don't do as well with the portal or signing day.

OM burning itself to the ground is the best thing to happen for LSU

Yep. They acted like spoiled brats and got what they deserved. It’s hilarious to see.

This is why people don’t give a 2 week notice when the drag up…

If the shoe is on the other foot would LSU fan base let him finish?

They were too prideful to do it, and now they will pay a much bigger price

As an LSU alum and fan I would say yes. Winning a National championship is more important than hurt feelings.

All Kiffin had to do is say “I’ll make my decision after I’m finish coaching this team. And any school that isn’t okay with that I’m not interested in going there.” Ole Miss isn’t the bad guy in this whole scenario. LK and LSU are.

It’s like telling your wife that you will be leaving her for your side piece but want to go to your in laws Christmas party because they give good gifts and expecting her to be okay with it.

In your scenario, OM would also be without a coach in January. How would that work out for them.

At least a negotiated exit would be much better all around.

I’m sure if it was opposite, you’d be ok with LSU letting g w coach that’s going to Ole Miss coach the playoffs?

Hell no you wouldn’t

You gotta be spare parts to believe Ole Miss can let him coach the playoff after taking the LSU job.

All in all this worked out in LSU’s favor. We get our coach sooner rather than later so I don’t care

Ole Miss has the discretion to run their program as they see fit. I really don’t care. That’s their prerogative.

Bad analogy. If he took that approach he would never get a better job. He is not Nick Saban, only he and a few others could make that demand and you know it.

You are right and they will have to suffer the consequences of their petty actions.
