I suppose it has something to do with a brand new format going to a nine game SEC schedule.

A&M has to come here two years in a row. It’s the way the schedule had to play out going to a nine game schedule.

If you look at the new schedules most teams are having to do this. Not just LSU. Ex. Aggie comes back to TS in 2026 again.

Ole Miss had to come to Tiger Stadium in back to back years in 01 -02 when the SEC went to only 1 cross-division rival. LSU traveled to KY in both those years as well.

New schedule formats often require this.

The nine-game format and them being our annual opponent kind of forced a few of these. We get aTm at home 2 years in a row as well.

Vagaries of scheduling. We also play the Aggies again in Tiger Stadium, and we play Bama again next year, for the umpteenth time in a row even though they're not one of our "permanent" opponents.

What I find more troubling is next year there are five road SEC games, but only four at home. What up with that?

Rework of the schedule to accommodate the 9 game SEC schedule.
