Am I missing something? There was never a time when he was going to be the long-term guy there. Everyone knew this.

I think most of us understand he has a shelf life in BR.

They got the best 6 years in program history from him. What's the deal?

Yes, he is what vitello was for tennessee. They figured that he viewed them as a potential power. They didnt see themselves as a stepping stone after he built it. He clearly disagrees. As does most of the country

They’ve gaslit themselves into thinking they are a brand on par with Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State

The idea that he could leave them for a sleeping blue chip like LSU never registered until it was staring them in the face

We need to think the same too. There is no evidence this guy sticks around long term

I hope his shelf life is atleast 12 years here. He’s 50 years old and already tried the NFL out. Maybe we have him for the long haul

LOL. This guy thrives on chaos. Not stability.

5 years tops. He will be lobbying for an NFL job the entire time.

They didn't want him going to their biggest rival. NFL would have been ok.

Funny thing is when he first got there many of their fans said they understood he would leave eventually and just wanted him to elevate the program before he left.

Well he did that. I just don't think they imagined LSU would be his next destination

I think if we can get 5-7 years with Kiffin and 3-4 playoff appearances and a natty I’m cool with him bolting.

That’s a successful tenure for me.

Now I’d love him to stay forever and start a dynasty but he likely tries somewhere else.

OM was delusional 100000%

nowhere else to go with our talent per capita and also being the flagship in the state.

unless he wants to try NFL yet again and take a MASSIVE pay cut.

He had that chance at Tennessee and now OM. You can buy whatever you want out of the portal and recruiting.
