I was a kid but the Bo Reins plane crash was pretty dramatic. No internet though.

Ed was drama but it was Alleva hate more than anything else. Kelly was pretty much a secret until it happened. He was the winningest active coach at the time so it's hard to say that there was a better option out there. We didn't know that he was retiring on the job.

Can you imagine if today’s society and Internet driven world were back in 1980? That plan crash would have been stuff for a 30 for 30, all kinds of conspiracy theories would be unleashed for a generation.

There were reporters knocking on the visitor suite doors harassing Alleva in the middle of a game on national TV to ask about Tom Herman.
