Arkansas 2-10
Purdue 2-10
BC 2-10
Syracuse 3-9
Stanford 4-8
They have had such an awful schedule and lost both games to teams with less than 3 losses that they faced. (Navy still has a game to go so not counting them just yet).
Amazing how mediocre that schedule is.

Notre Dame being in as of right now is a damn joke

Is it’s ND’s fault that the teams on the schedule sucked?????
Posted on 11/29/25 at 11:01 pm to dukke v
No, but when you refuse to join an actual conference, the onus is on you to have a real schedule.

Schedule turned out to be mediocre.
But ND beat Arkansas by 43 points (56-13).
Ole Miss beat Arky by 6.
Tennessee beat Arky by 3.
A&M by 3.
Texas by 14.

Mediocre schedule+losing to the two best teams you play= playoffs, apparently

So? One game against a shitty Arky team doesn’t mean Jack. Transitive property doesn’t work in college football.
A&M beat ND and LSU. A&M lost to UT who lost to freaking UF. Does that mean UF is good?

Yeah...and Bama just looked like arse against an Auburn team with 1 win in the SEC against Arkansas.
Oh and Bama got blown out by FSU who just got blown out by awful 2 win (SEC) Florida.
But Bama deserves it right...at least on TD.
While ND gets constantly maligned by posters on TD.

Pretty simple. They are one of the best 12 teams. Vegas slots them 3rd or 4th (depending on the book) if Vegas did the rankings. I’ll take their word over the MSB.

It’s pointless. The MSB is smarter than the sharps in Vegas. But hey, what does Vegas know? ??

Arkansas 2-10
Went out and scheduled an SEC opponent that was labeled a dark house preseason.

Purdue 2-10
Big 10 team that is an in state rival.

BC 2-10 Syracuse 3-9
Part of their ACC deal

Play every year.
I mean what more do you want from ND. That’s playing a team from 3/4th’s of the P4, not like they scheduled a bunch of shitty MAC teams or FCS teams like the SEC likes to do. Can’t help if your opponents blow.

Assuming that ND will get into the playoffs, we will be one of the top favorites to win the whole thing.
We are straight up better than all the SEC teams except perhaps Georgia, and we'd still be favored on a neutral field against them. NFL talent at every level on both sides of the ball, no weaknesses except in field goal kicking, obliterating everything from hither to kingdom come.
We should be ranked ahead of Oklahoma next week, but the Committee probably doesn't have the guts to do that. I would fricking love, love, love to see these iterations of Alabama or OU in the first round.
A poll of real ballknowers would tell you that the team they'd least like to face in the first round of all the possible 5 - 12 seeds is ND, likely by a lot.

I absolutely can’t wait for when they get thrashed by OSU for the fourth straight time in the last 3 years. frick that elitist university and their elitist fanbase.

So did Georgia vs AU.

'Bama has a top 10 SOS and wins over actual ranked teams.
ND's SOS is in the 30's and they lost to the only good teams they played this year.
If you get rewarded for playing a hand-picked garbage schedule then wtf is the impetus for anyone else scheduling any decent OOC matchups? 'Bama played FSU and Wisconsin this year on top of their SEC slate, and have home and homes with Ohio State in '27-'28. If the committee won't recognize SOS, then frick it, we'll schedule dogshit like everyone else.
