Via an agent who is an ole Miss grad (take with a grain of salt because it’s clearly slanted), “Kiffin is going to LSU. He’s currently threatening Boyce and Keith to let him coach the playoffs or else he’ll take all the players he wants with him to LSU in the portal. He’s also threatening the staff that if he’s not allowed to coach the playoffs but the coaches do, then they won’t be able to come coach at LSU with him. That’s why there hasn’t been an announcement.”
Feels like sour grapes and I imagine we will start seeing the media turn on Kiffin via Ole Miss anecdotes.

This is a stupid rumor. He’s going to try to take the people and players he wants regardless. They’ll either chose to stay or go.

This is exactly why management is walked to the door at notice in the real world. Deal with the aftermath once they are escorted. He and LSU hold the cards, Ole Miss cant let him hang around if hes gone already.

Wouldn't he take the players in the portal regardless? Isn't that the point, to bring in the best players you can. Thats not a threat its a promise.

This is what someone said on a podcast i just watched. But it wasn't said as if it was true. It was said as this could be what Kiffin could do.

It’s obvious he wants to go to LSU in my opinion and now it’s just how does ole Miss handle the rest of the year with him.

I stated earlier that it would be the most Ole Miss thing ever to make Atlanta without a coach.
I'd like to revise this to read it would be the most Ole Miss thing ever to be first school to decline a playoff appearance due to ongoing personnel disputes.
