Clearly he is leaving; omiss just needs to tell him to go and your not coaching this team in playoffs.

A 4 hour meeting means they were hashing out remaining contract details.

They can just pull him. Don’t have to fire him just suspend him from coaching. The AD absolutely has the power to put an end to this.

What would be the reason for suspending him?

His still at Carter’s house / they are probably watching the game and figuring out the plan for either outcomes.

Why would he? He can deflate LSUs big moment and interfere with recruiting a little, all while working the phones to find their next guy.

That runway isn’t long, but he has zero reason to end this stalemate at the moment.

Don’t commit and leave everyone in a lurch.

Why would they suspend him? That just pushes him out the door. They’re using the only leverage they have (playoffs) to try to keep him there.

I asked in another thread, would the LSU contract offset the buyout dollars ole miss would owe?

My guess is bc if Lane leaves they want Sumrall. Well so does AU. And so might UF. Sumrall might pass on OM if they stall.

Good question. Most likely would. They all have those mitigation clauses
