Why does the national media hate LSU?

I keep reading that the national media is conspiring to keep Lane at Ole Miss and:or actively working to make sure LSU does not get an elite coach.
I don’t really think that’s true but will try to keep an open mind. Why does the media hate LSU? What grounds do they have?

They have teams they root for. When LSU has the right coach it is not good for those teams. They would rather said coach stay somewhere less threatening

They don’t hate LSU. But they do love to mock them. Louisiana is often the butt of the joke and it extends to their football team.

I have definitely enjoyed the back and forth on here. Legitimately concerned about some of the posters here if Lane were to shock the world and stay in Oxford.

Anyone paid attention should see we have been underperforming. LSU / bama same talent only difference they always had competent QB play even at their worst.
