Is Blake Baker a shoe in for Tulane ?

It would be my first call. That being said, I can see Tulane going with another head coach who’s experienced success at an equal or lower level like what they went after in Sumeral. Tulane has built a brand since Willie was head coach and I can see them sticking with the blueprint

Just about any competent coach can win at Tulane.
Larry Smith, V. Gibson, Mack Brown, G. Davis, T Bowden, Fritz, Summerall....
Tulane's problem is they are a stepping stone, and always will be. They should have done whatever was necessary to stay in the SEC back when that all fell apart.

I was talking to some Tulane people yesterday. They thought it likely that Summerall was going to go probably to Auburn and that Baker would be his replacement. He has Tulane ties and his wife is from the Northshore.

Schumann has connections at Tulane. His dad coached there for like 10 years. There’s talk he could be a candidate.
