I think I see a muzzle flash in what would now be the Burbank area of the photograph.

LSU Memorial Tower was only dedicated three years prior, to the 1,447 Louisianans who died in the Great War.

I don't see too many stately oaks or broad magnolias in there.

Would be interesting to see that side by side with a current photo from the same angle.

On the right side the picture just above TS you can see the power house. I have been in the basement of that building where there old cold fired boilers are located. Looked like something from Auschwitz

Edit:

Now looking at the picture more I am realized how barren Dalrymple. To think my great grandfather built a house on Park Blvd in 1924. Amazing how rural the area was.

Thank goodness that UL was there to set an example with the planting of the Twentieth Century Oaks on their campus 125 years ago by Dr. Edwin Lewis Stephens (who founded the Live Oak Society in 1934).
