Really would rather see the kiffin/baker combo than Golding/kiffin.

Besides the Xs & Os, a small part of me likes baker better because he rocks the shite out of LSU baseball hat lol

Golding probably is interim if Kiffin leaves early. May be a chance for him to audition for a HC role somewhere. I think it’s highly likely Kiffin would keep Baker as DC considering he only has a year left of his contract. If it works, great. If not, he can move on after season 1.

Baker probably stays if he doesn’t get the Tulane job

Goulding will be HC at Ole Miss so they can try to salvage the team.

Minus the line up 3 guys in a pencil 5 yards away from the center, with 0 chance they have enough time to get to the qb or impact the play, completely agree. Really wish we'd stop running that 1 damn play. Bakers 2nd halves have been consistently strong. This year's team has like top 10 defense numbers in the 2nd half.

I think Joe Judge would be interim if Kiffin left before playoffs.

How many national titles does wonderboy baker have as a DC?

Better yet how many does he have as an assistant in general?

Joe Judge will be interim. Kiffin will prefer Golding, and P&G glasses off, he’s better than Baker.

Correct. Kiffin has zero NCs as a defensive coordinator.

He does however have 2 as an assistant. (04 and 15).

I seriously do not understand this board’s obsession with baker. He’s not some irreplaceable coach.

Until Baker PROVES on the field that his unit can stop a dual threat QB who is HEALTHY, then Baker is NOT a great DC. I said healthy because he did "stop" Sellars twice...once by knocking him out of the SC game in 2024 at halftime and then this year after Kentucky had knocked him out a game earlier. Baker's defense is only good only a standard offense with a pocket type passer. You put him up against a mobile QB wiling to run past the LOS, and he is SOOL (shite out of luck).

Baker did pretty well against Ty Simpson-- LSU's offensive ineptitude lost that game. Also the Arkansas and W. Kentucky QBs are dual threat, as were Klubnik and DJ Lagway in earlier games. The games LSU couldn't stop the other team-- Ole Miss, Vandy, A&M-- it was a function of that team's O-line outmuscling LSU's defense, not due just to the QB play.

Simpson is not considered a running QB...Green had two long runs against LSU including one of 40 yards. The WKU QB is NOT dual threat. Anyone can try to call him that but he isn't. He is not a threat to break a long run...he isn't that fast. Klubnik is considered a pro style QB so I have no idea where he fits in. Lagway doesn't run that much either and he isn't a speed demon. If you want proof of that, rerun the Spear INT for a pick 6. Yes, Spears is very fast but Lagway had an incredible angle on him and didn't even touch him on the sideline.

I will list the REAL dual threat guys...Lavia, Milroe (2024), Reed, Chambliss, Sellars (1st half before injury 2024) He didn't stop any of them.

No sir. PG is the one Saban DC who is better without Saban. He’s more proven than BB.

I think Golding would be the choice. Joe Judge quickly wears out his welcome and doesn't get along well with folks. At least that's was was the narrative when he was HC of the giants. Golding is much more Kiffin like, he could just keep things rolling. Plus Joe Judge is a former State player, I doubt their fans would want that.
