LSU clearing the legal hurdles with BK...

Could indicate that they're making a hire imminently, correct? I know some have speculated on whether or not Sexton and Kiffin would sign without that being cleared up. LSU deciding to eat it instead of press for a court settlement means they feel it was best to just pay it normally I would think.

Yes. That needed to be cleared up.

This was my thought. Especially the day before Thanksgiving.

Also some rumors of interest in BK by a few schools. Beneficial to both sides if that's the case.

Settlement will come when the mitigation kicks in

It’s mutually beneficial for LSU to just pay up and Brian Kelly to drop the lawsuit
The whole thing was just theater

Sexton got BK paid
Probably told LSU the buyout was the hang up on Lane signing. Said Lane was scared LSU would do the same with him if he got fired..

They need to get the hell out of their bubble. They have no idea how hard that window just closed on them. Lol

That would be a logical conclusion, yes.
This should have been taken care of weeks ago, but now is better than even later.
Regardless, we’ve turned the page; it’s time for a new chapter.

OR, they know hes gonna get a job soon.
Doesn't that decrease the amount?

I know that Governor Landry made a buffoon of himself a couple of weeks ago but one thing he said was correct. These agents display blatant conflicts of interests. They leverage multiple parties in the same transaction. I don’t know if they are lawyers, but regular lawyers would get disbarred for doing much less than that.

That was my immediate thought when I heard the news. Can’t sign another coach if he is not fired, and it makes LSU look better instead of trying to hose him out of the money

Sexton used Lane as bait to get BK paid. Now Lane will announce tomorrow that he's staying.

Sexton doesn’t represent BK. It’s truly incredible how little knowledge exists in this thread

It is open for them to hire BK,... not LK.

Haha dipshits as usual. He’s represented by Trace Armstrong.
