Off the Bench has really gone down hill since T-Bob left

For years OTB has been my go to morning show but today I’ve officially moved on to greener pastures. I’ve given them multiple opportunities but the show has gotten so bad since T-Bob left that I can no longer listen. Hester genuinely seems like a nice guy but he might be the most vanilla person in sports talk radio. Flynn is an arrogant smart arse who adds nothing of value to the show - he has zero interesting or original takes. Flynn is so out of touch, he genuinely questions why everyone has so much hype over Lane Kiffin.
Half the time they just let Taylor and Alondra ramble as if anyone actually cares what they have to say. Taylor also seems like a genuinely nice guy, but he does himself and everyone listening a disservice every time he opens his mouth. This guy’s voice is one of the most painful things I’ve ever heard and it makes nails on a chalkboard sound like Mozart. I legitimately feel bad for him because I know it’s not something he can control. OTB lost all of its flavor when T-Bob left and it’s a shame to see a once great show go down the toilet. Does anyone have any other morning show recommendations?

I’ve actually been really pleasantly surprised with the show. It’s a different vibe, but Flynn knows ball and can explain things way better than Hester or T-Bob.

Plenty of people aren’t hyped about paying kiffin $14m a year. You don’t have to agree with everything the man says.

It doesn't help that LSU and the Saints are horrendous this year. I for one don't want to listen as much when we suck.

If you really enjoy listening to talk about Star Wars, then yes, i can see why you’re disappointed.

The show fell off when Jordy left. It died when TBob left.
Bringing on Hester was just an awful move. Brining on Flynn was a worse move and just lazy.
That show was peak in 2017-2019.
I remember a few years ago, I’d hear Taylor producing for Songy and always liked him.
The whole station is a snooze fest. Hunt is just as vanilla as Hester and is only great during baseball season.
The station really suffers because of having to be in New Orleans. Because of that, they have to talk Saints and Pelicans. I can’t imagine being a host and having to discuss the Pelicans for any amount of time.

They chemistry w Matt and Jacob is way better. Ya tbobs energy can't be replaced but he was buttoned up usually and he and Jacob looked like they forced it. It was unbearable at first but got better. Matt surprised me bec as he settled in he's gotten good w breakdowns. IMO tbob is better when he can go unfiltered aka post game you tube was pure gold. Maybe at barstool he can be himself but idk if new Yorkers can handle the real tbob. I hadn't seen his content much since barstool to judge. He was the life of the show once Jordy left for sure.

Don’t know why…it’s not their money. It’s a handful of rich arse MF’ers who want to use their money to get the best possible coach for our team. We should be thanking them over and over for being so generous with their money to get a great coach.

This is 100% spot on, a billionaire that lives in California is funding CBK’s buyout and most of Kiffin’s salary, I have no idea why Flynn and so many others get so upset over this

I think i like it more now, but you're right on Taylor's voice. Not trying to hate on him, i know it's not something he chose and I generally like him and his content.
They should add something on the mic to change his voice to like Datrth Vader or something, would be awesome.

Nah, it’s better now. It’s more refined and can be taken more seriously since the departure of the drunk uncle. Matt knows ball and I really enjoy watching his breakdowns and film study.
