at oregon he was the high tempo no huddle spread option, has success in the NFL, decides to change and then never went back to it and refuses to go back to it.

He was one of the great innovators of college offenses but when your concepts get copied and spread far and wide and built upon you lose whatever competitive advantage you had.

They had the most talent in all of college football and their offense didn’t look great till the end of the year.
