Anyone familiar with her? She started popping up on my FB/Insta feed several months ago. I love curvy redheads, so I was intrigued right away. Her act relies almost exclusively on crowd work with a bit of well-done sleight-of-hand, all wrapped in a 1930s/40s Hollywood glamour/Vaudevillian style. I find her to be very entertaining. Her wit is quick and razor-sharp. Saw her in Houston this past weekend and met her after the show. Was a great time. Right now she has kind of a cult following, playing to sold out venues everywhere, but I think she’s on the verge of blowing up big time.

Her voice is annoying.

But she’s quick-witted and does well with crowd work.

Nothing I’d pay money to go see, but the YouTube shorts are somewhat entertaining.

What…you expect me to keep up with friends and family by actually speaking to them?

Not if done in moderation. Or if the comedian is really good at it.

Went to see Sinbad last year or so and his entire set was asking questions to the crowd, letting them answer, and then going off on tangents or stories from their answers. One of the funniest acts I’ve seen.

When the comedian relies on just crowd work and can’t do anything else, it’s pathetic. Like Matt Rife

Yea this is more of what I'm talking about. Him and tik tok comedians that it's basically just go to a show and make fun of people in the audience. Not really meaning the people that just kind of occasionally work it in their routine but just rely on it as their main comedic aspect. Wow, you just spent an hour making fun of someone's job or hair that paid $100 to come see you. Congrats, you're not a comedian.

People have to learn the hard way that the one minute clips you see on socials are the exception not the rule. Those type "comedians" may get one or two funny clips, but the rest of the hour show is just awkward exchanges that aren't funny at all.

This and the Short/Reels/TikTok mindset of watering everything down to a tiny package that can fit into a minute long clip is killing comedy. The worst of it is when they take classic bits, perform a hack job on them, cut the laugh breaks, and post them as a short. I guess that is what happens when people let the "algorithm" tell them what is funny.
