Who knew that a seldom used college QB could turn into the worst in the NFL

I think KOC is a great offensive coach, but if he lobbied hard for JJ in the draft, then his job should be in jeopardy.
You can’t set back a franchise for years by being so wrong on “your” QB.

JJ is going to cost KOC and the GM their jobs.

It's just so weird, Michigan barely even used JJ so I'm not entirely sure what the NFL saw in him.
He's playing like he's never had to be depended on before and it's showing

As it should, he looks woefully unprepared to be a NFL QB.

Actually Shedeur Sanders has the worst completion percentage. Sanders is 14-36 in his 2 starts so far. I'm not strong in math but I'm pretty sure that is below 50% completion percentage.

JJ and Nix were the only 2 left by the time they drafted. He's very raw, and missing all of last year just put him way behind the eight ball. They should have tagged Darnold and let JJ sit this year.

He just needs to meditate more in the end zone.

I wonder why the Vikings haven't hired Connor Stallions yet.

You have to have a certain number of attempts to qualify, but you couldn’t wait to call out a Sanders.

Walking away from Darnold when he got them…what, 14 wins? Ridiculous.

I don’t know how a NFL GM could watch that Michigan team and think JJ was worth a first round pick. Dude was throwing like 10 passes a game while they ran the shite out of the ball against everybody.

One year ago today, on November 23, 2024, the quarterbacks on the Minnesota Vikings' roster were Sam Darnold, Nick Mullens, and J.J. McCarthy. Daniel Jones was also on the practice squad at the time.
DJ & Darnold are a combined 16 - 5 in 2025 in games started by them.
Viking fans to their HC & GM right about now..

To be fair, did anybody see Danny Dimes being this good this season? No. The Vikings picked him up last year after he'd been discarded.
Now Darnold, yeah, I don't know what they were thinking there. He proved he could win there last year.

They could've kept him for not crazy money. Indy signed him for the same reason Minny now needs him, insurance policy if their unproven young qb sucks.

They were gonna start JJ last year over Darnold...

He has to be a superstar in practice or has pics of the management with farm animals, makes no sense.

The truth is they didn't let him walk as much as they couldn't afford him. The 3-year / $100m deal he ended up getting would not be possible without further impacting what will already be significant roster turnover. At that point that kind of deal ($ or duration for a historical journeyman) doesn't make sense vs. rolling with a young QB and hoping he grows into something serviceable
Adofo-Mensah is probably not long for the Vikings GM job as a result

TrouserTrout swore by it, propped up McCarthy every chance he got bc Michigan was winning while trying to tear down Daniels.
