It's cute that Harry Sissy seems to think that anyone with a brain believes the Internet is real-life.
We've got Russian and Chinese bots right here on tPT, and we know who they are. We've also got a bunch of actual patriots and a bunch of bonafide dumbasses too. But if I can't see it and hear it for myself and make it make sense, I pretty much don't buy it any more.
But whatever keeps Harry digging through millions of accounts to try and find more pretenders, that's fine with me. Let him waste his time. He isn't gaining any new support outside of the boomer blue-hairs and young poofters that already worship him.

The verb form (“to effect change”) means actively creating or causing something, which doesn’t fit your sentence. Your substitution test doesn’t actually prove that “effecting” works — it just swaps the nouns while keeping the same grammatical problem.
