Wha’s your theory on that?

Perhaps this would cause some self reflection as to why that may be?

I think I have a good idea.

But I wonder if any of you Rebs can either figure it out or be honest with themselves about it.

But but Ole Miss can do whatever LSU can do in that space!

Rebs told us so.

I think it’s pretty simple, the brand is at its ceiling.

The Rebs are maxed out currently and he’s done a great job getting it there. There is no higher or greater season for Ole Miss than 10 wins and a playoff appearance.

Because he doesn’t have to accept any offers right now. He’s playing LSU Florida and Ole Miss against each other.

Because they are and always have been a Stepping stone. Simple as that.

Because he has some secret trolling plan to unveil it on the day after the Egg Bowl. This Saturday he will reveal he is staying with a big announcement, lol. Sounds crazy, but that’s what some fans believe.

It could be, but why piss people off when you don't have to. Too much of a distraction instead of just focusing on the games.

Ole Miss doesn't have the "street cred" to get great high school players. Ole Miss is basically "2nd Chance University" due to the portal.

Florida has been drowning below .500 and can still get top 15 recruiting class.

LSU, after being average with BK, can maintain a top 10 recruiting class.

Ole Miss...?

2025 - currently 20th
2024 - 21st
2023 - 23rd
2022 - 27th
2021 - 17th (wow)

fact of the matter is, Kiffin has peaked at Ole Miss. if he wants to win a natty, he'll need to supplement his portal ability with more talented high school players for depth. LSU, and contrary to popular belief here, Florida can provide those high school recruits.

Man, anyone who tells you they can explain exactly why Kiffin does anything is lying. Maybe he thought LSU is easier for winning natties. Maybe he worships Saban and wants to follow his coaching path like a pilgrimage. Maybe he just got tired of Oxford. Who knows.

Kidding knows the power will always shift back to the blue bloods.
There will be future NiL restrictions which sways the balance of power back.
Tv wants blue bloods in the playoffs, go look at viewership of major programs and compare it to Indiana/tulane etc.

I agree. When you plan a big announcement you don’t want to troll your own fans and piss them off. We had an LSU fan arguing that this is what Lane was going to do. I don’t see the reasoning.

He hasn’t accepted anything yet. These are just offers.

True. You can't keep finishing in the portal for guys. May not always work out. Kelly learned that lesson in 2023 smdh among other things. Ugh wasted a championship offense with a historical garbage defense.

Honestly, just looking at historical relevancy. That’s why. Just think if you had two job offers, exact same offers, one was with a well established company been around forever, one was with an upstart on a good path with more risk of future success. It would be hard to pass up the stability of more well known brand/company

Your school’s football team started in 1893 and your biggest achievement is a “SEC WEST CO-CHAMPIONS” banner in your stadium.

Facts don’t care about your feelings lol

I believe because of past championships LSU was considered more of a blue blood than Ole Miss.

Take that like you want it.
