There’s no reason why Kiffin would have told Ole Miss that he needed 8 days to make a decision

He had a meeting yesterday and that was the appropriate time to clear the air on his intention to stay.

He told them he is not staying.

Or they could be trying to sabotage the search for LSU and UF

That or he said he is staying at Ole Miss and not announcing hurts one of our biggest rivals in recruiting. Really nothing will be known until it is announced. Everyone is guessing.

So you think they want to potentially sabotage and exacerbate distractions to the most important game they've ever played coming up in a few days just to maybe ruffle LSU and Florida's feathers? Get real man. LSU and Florida already don't have coaches. Possibly delaying their searches by 6 days is not necessarily a big deal. Both schools already have their backup candidates lined up. Hopefully you don't believe what you posted

My lifelong best friend since the age of three is a partner at a law firm in Baton Rouge. Former representation for Les.

Kiffin has verbally agreed to the LSU offer. This was the reason for the BOS meeting to officially terminate BK and get the sign off on the proposed contract that Dellenger released last night

I’ve seen several people say this. This makes zero sense. If you’re Ole Miss, you want to announce he is staying ASAP. This a huge distraction to your team that is having an all time historic season and pissing off your entire fan base and boosters. All to give you an edge in recruiting? Please

Until I see Kiffin in an LSU visor at a press conference I’m not counting on anything. He has certainly cost himself dearly with the OM fans with all of this, but if he were to announce he was staying most would flock back.

I’m golfing with a bunch of Ole Miss fans and they think he’s staying.

They’re convinced he’s just fricking with LSU and UF.

If he does all this and screws UF and LSU's coaching search, he might as well plan on staying at OM until retirement because no other school will negotiate with him going forward. Maybe.

Indeed some OM fans are deluded.

There’s other factors involved though. LSU and Florida needs some clarity. Signing day is here.
Having a coach is fairly important.

Hopefully LSU has their ducks in a row and if they’re locked in on Kiffin then they need to have binding agreement.

Lane may be into trolling, but the administration at OM is not. Also, Kiffin has already cost himself dearly with that fan base with all of this. If he decides to stay it’s because he has had a change of heart or some OM alums throw astronomical NIL money into the pot. Lane has been at OM for 6 years now. That’s his longest stint anywhere.

Idk man were talking about Lane Kiffin here

I think it would be more about making other candidates feel less desired. Gonna be kinda hard to offer someone else a lot less $ than what we just offered kiffin after the offer details just came out

Every potential coach knows Lane is the #1 option..if that hurts their "feelings" then they aren't man enough to command this program anyway
