I Live in MS, and all the OM fans are mad at how he’s doing this.

He has ambitions to go somewhere bigger. However, he is still trying to coach the team because he loves his players? I don’t see the issue.

They can be mad that he’s leaving all they want, but I feel like he’s actually not been wrong in how he’s doing this.

This is a massive decision and he’s not dragging it out on purpose. Does he love some publicity? Sure, but the dude has a tough decision.

If he is set on leaving, refusing to step aside and wanting to coach one more game is a shitty move.

Leave your wife for a hotter woman and report back on how your current wife reacts.

I’d say, let the players decide that. He needs to inform them of his intentions and plead his case if he wants to coach them and let them decide.

OM fans don’t want to go back to the basement.

If it comes out he’s going to LSU, he’s done.

This is an excellent analogy.

I’m not mad at him for leaving, it’s a business. The frustrating part is the season we are (were) having and the ramifications.

We can say what we want about him leaving in a playoff run but I think we all know we aren’t winning a Natty so I’m sure that plays a factor. I think most just wish he would leave and we can move on and try to win a CFP game

I certainly get it. This is how we felt when Saban signed, not with the Dolphins, but with Alabama.

It is a ridiculous analogy, but go on comparing marriages to employment searches I guess

You’re being intentionally obtuse if you don’t see why OM fans would have an issue.

They’re fighting for a playoff spot and potential shot at a title. Meanwhile in the middle of their greatest season of all time, their head coach is flirting with conference rivals.

There’s not a school in the country that wouldn’t be annoyed.

From 2001 to 2004, we dealt with this from Saban and his urge to go to the NFL. We just wanted a coach that wanted to be at LSU. Not look at every new shiny job as leverage to get more money or whatever.

OM had this 2 years ago when Auburn looked like they got Kiffin. Now this with LSU and Florida. Who knows what teams will be open next year that will come calling for him.

I understand their frustration. If you want to stay, come out and say it. If you want to go, leave. When Saban left and announced on Christmas Eve, it sucked. Then losing the game against Iowa on last play really sucked. Team goes back home to BR. Be gets on a private jet to Miami.

Oh come on man....

They have been bottom feeders of the SEC except the SEC west co-champ year and the one off ranked in the first CFB playoff year...they took a chance on a dude who was rebuilding himself at FA frickjng U gave him everything he wanted and now he is more than likley bolting for their arch rival during the most impressive/consequential year in their football existence...

You really dont see why they are a little rustled??

Probably doesn’t help that the most likely suitor is a hated conference arch rival.

Imagine if he was at LSU and there was a bunch of smoke about him leaving us for Bama and was stringing everything out like this. LSU fans would be fuming too
