The party ended the month with $18.3 million in the bank — $15 million of which came from the loan.

The D.N.C. entered November with $18.3 million on hand — $15 million of which came from the loan.
By contrast, the Republican National Committee had entered October with $86 million in the bank and no debts.

Look it up. In1972, the Dems had to put on a telethon to raise money because it was broke. Watergate changed the whole ballgame.

Synchronicity here. In the Bill Maher thread I just read I made the comment that the DNC is going to go extinct and Maher is just smart enough to realize that, which makes him smarter than 95% if the left in this country. Then I read this thread.
