Does anyone have a recording of REGGIE?

CSB. I worked with a lady whose husband was the voice of Reggie. True story

That would be top secret classified information

Did you remember to press the pound, G?

I remember when REGGIE was new technology.
Do you remember the index cards in the Field House?

I do. Hated Reggie.

Man. Reggie used to stress me the frick out. I was so happy when PAWS came out and you could do stuff online. Waiting on hold for an hour to find out the class that was open when you called is now full sucked.

I just remember hanging up and hitting redial for an hour before I got in.

I remember punch cards in the Assembly Center.
I just told my daughter, in the most sarcastic way possible, that I am so glad I went to college before the internet.

that's awesome!!!

Yes on the cards that are actually a fond memory for me for some reason. A friend of mine describes the anxiety causing frustration of dealing with REGGIE: he would spend two minutes describing every detail of the class before he told you that it was full!

When I was at LSU we didn’t have Reggie, but we had Reggie’s.

I was at a party where this guy got on the microphone. Said most of yall don’t recognize me, but I’m sure you know me. Then he said,”Welcome to the LSU touch tone registration system”. The crowd went nuts.
I remember having to circle around the system while you would go back and try to get a class already full, hoping someone dropped it from there schedule. There was the feeling of success when you heard Reggie rattle off the course name then day and times.

PAWS not letting you log in to schedule classes? REGGIE FTMFW !
Posted on 11/19/25 at 8:04 pm to Mister Hoagie
No, but I'll forever remember how it said my name.

Sucked to schedule everything and forget to add your season tickets. Then had start all over trying to get in .

Does REGGIE have any sauces in the athletic department?

In the punch card days you were supposed to go to the dean or his designate to get your card signed for approval. Like clear across campus from the Assembly Center on foot or bicycle if necessary, and back.
By then somebody else probably took “your” spot. I HAD to have this 1 small popular class to graduate. The student worker behind the card table handed me a punch card, said, “Go get this signed”. I turned around, wrote the Dean’s initials on the card, gave it back to the worker who gave me an approving smile. I graduated on time.
