Buddy who works in the athletic department at Ole Piss says the “rumors” going around the building are that Lane is coming to LSU. Apparently Landry is pushing him (duh)

Just a buddy who works there. My point was more so around the people there think he’s coming here. Which makes all of the Florida people pushing that “done deal” narrative this morning, look kind of dumb

He's not coming here.
Between LSU and Florida, it would make zero sense to come here. Florida football hasn't been worth anything for going on 20 years. He would have time there. They would probably give him 4 years to turn things around.
He knows LSU football is in a painful place right now and is moving off of a psychological cliff following 19/Burrow/Daniels and a couple of epic wins over Alabama. We want results tomorrow. All the hot yoga in the world will not stand up to the scrutiny and expectations he would have here.
In fact, his immediate issue would be living up to BK's first couple of years, which were actually relatively successful before everything went to shite this year. Bad scenario all around.

Somebody should have been told Landry to stay tf out of it with his grandstanding, attention seeking arse. If i'm a donor who planned on dropping big money on a hire, i would have made it perfectly clear, that Jeff Landry keep LSU out of his mouth until a hire is made. I pull my money if not
