Would you to pay 16M/year to keep the drama King or move on from him and start a new chapter?
If you keep him, you will go through this drama again and again.

Think about where they compared to where they are now. Of course they want to keep him. Any of us would.

Yes they would. They’d probably pay more than that.

In 2004 several fans, if not most, were glad to see NS go to the Dolphins because they were tired of the emotional roller coaster every year.

They will only go through it if Kiffin continues to be indecisive. If he would simply sign his contract extension, he would show the work he truly loves Oxford.

I hope he stays and they have to pay him $20 MM. it's a long game play, but long term, it would bankrupt them and they wouldn't be able to compete in the NIL game anymore. Some of their fans think they have a money printer, but there IS a bottom to their donor money, when you're setting it on fire. Which is what they'd be doing. Spending $40 or $50 MM a year on one coach and their roster isn't sustainable for a program like OM, long term.

This is precisely why a high profile coach leaves an Ole Miss. They cannot compete in both pay and NIL. Either/or.

That is retarded.
Ole Miss has one of the highest paid staffs in CFB, they have a well oiled NIL machine that bought an elite roster to win it all last year, and LK is currently a Top 10 paid coach with a blank check extension on his desk.

This always makes me laugh. Are you under the impression that the Ole Miss fans on Tigerdroppings are paying Kiffin 16 million dollars? Who cares if they pay him 20 million a year ? It’s not coming out of their pockets.

it was hard on the soul to be sure- I remember it well. We all loved Nick, LSU was pulling in major talent, he still only had one season he didn't lose 3 games..somewhere in his process, he got better because he went over a decade not losing more than 1 game a year at Alabama.
while at LSU, the rumor to NFL was was always "not if, but when"...
I think skip applied pressure and that's how it ended up as it did, on Christmas eve
