Let’s talk about how America first actually hurts America

The definition of America first as I’ve been told is to only care about America. That includes not allowing legal immigration, not sending funds to other countries, not helping other countries at all.
But by not helping others, we inadvertently hurt our interests.
That ability to help others has been abused in the past, hence the USAID cluster frick. Which I’m sure is part of why so many are against helping other countries. By helping others countries in a responsible manner we’re able to make America great. See: countries investing in America. We need good relations with those countries to facilitate those investments. Those other countries help make America great again.
The million dollar question is how much should we help other countries.
“The best way to help yourself is to help others”
But by not helping others, we inadvertently hurt our interests.

So... I think here's the difference. Helping implies a one sided interaction where one gives and another benefits.
Working deals that both benefit from isn't "helping", it's working together.
I may be oversimplifying this...

What amount constitutes America first and what amount should go to other countries
It’s been said many times that we shouldn’t send any money to other countries & we shouldn’t allow any legal immigration.

America first before everyone else is great in theory, but at what point should we help other countries.
Helping others is thinking of someone else’s needs. Others can’t be helped if you’re focused on yourself.

I think society would be better off, much better off, if government wasn't controlling, regulating, and taxing the living shite out of everything and anything that moves.
Government is the reason society is so fricked, yet people still want those psychopaths to tell us the best path forward. Get them out of the way and let spontaneous order take over. Government is the reason so much shitty behavior and stupidity exists in society, because they subsidize the hell out of it.
You want to help other countries? Send your money to them. Get a charity formed to send money to them. Not saying you personally, just talking in the much larger context.

You help other countries by trade. Make them make something and buy it. You don’t help them by giving them money. Or by talking their unwanted population.
