It will only be one. I don't think neither would work under the other. I feel Lane would like to keep his DC.
FWIW - I will never forget Rush 3 Drop 8.

Golding is from Hammond. He knows Louisiana and has worked under Saban. Those two things are invaluable.

Either would be great, but look out for Zach Arnett, too. Current analyst at FSU, and spent a year as an analyst with Ole Miss in 2024.

Baker will parley his perceived value into a HC position.

If Lane takes the LSU job, Golding will be the Ole Miss head coach.

Won't need to make choice. Tulane will hire Baker.

Baker is in the best position. I think there are two potential jobs that he could land. Tulane, when Sumerall leaves and Missouri if Drink decides to leave. JMO

I would love Annette as our DC. I’m not a big 3-3-5 guy, but if you run it as an attacking 3-3-5 I’m on board

If Sumrall leaves Tulane Baker is going to be at the top of their list.

OM admins on 247 have said he wouldn’t leave with Lane.

He really has not been awful. That's incredibly hyperbolic. He struggled against a couple of running QBs this year, but has otherwise done a good job.

We have the 20th ranked scoring defense in the country right now. And last week he seemed to do a good job against a very good offense with a very mobile QB. Put in an outstanding effort in Tuscaloosa the week before too.

I think the team was quitting under Kelly and that really impacted A&M game.

He'd likely be interim head coach.
