Lane Kiffin is a genius. I think he wanted Ole Miss to find out he visited LSU especially.

They knew Kiffin’s family visited Florida, but when the rumors of Layla Kiffin visiting LSU came out publicly, Ole Miss became super pissed! Lol
They hate LSU and gave Lane an ultimatum. I think that was a dumb move by Ole Miss. They have no leverage and just blew the test I think Lane was giving them.
It’s almost as if Kiffin was saying without saying it that, “Oh I’m the disloyal one?” Yea I see what you all really think of me. Lol Absolute Genius!!

I hope he doesn’t go to Florida. The one advantage LSU has over Florida is he wouldn’t have to compete with so many in state schools in Louisiana like he would in Florida.

Lane was also spotted walking Mike the Tiger on a leash around his neighborhood.

It was desperation.

So y’all are saying you want the guy that doesn’t give two flips about his current team and situation?

Oh i definitely agree with that. Lol Now they will lose their coach anyway and possibly their chance of going to playoffs or if they make it, they probably won’t go too far.

I never said he was coming here for sure. Why do weirdos like you feel the need to make such asinine comments?

He can’t help he’s been given multiple opportunities which may not align with his current situation. This is how it works in college football. Ole Miss needs to get over themselves. A great coach is going to get solicited by many schools. This is not how you retain them when you’re a nobody like Ole Miss who hasn’t won crap in many decades.

I never said you did, you moron. Have you not read any threads on here? We're just having fun because no one knows for sure what will happen. Lighten up.

Florida has to fight a bunch of other schools, but from a numbers perspective, there's a way larger crop of D1 guys in Florida to fight over. I think it evens out in the NIL era.
The difference might the amount of money LSU is now willing to throw at NIL and assistant coaches. Nobody takes care of assistants the way that LSU does.

Screw kiffin. Give me Brett Venables. He has beaten Alabama in back to back years. Has Oklahoma in playoff contention and can pickup transfer QBs.
All things LSU needs and wants and has had success with.
Kiffin hasn’t won anything of substance but venables can give you what you want at a lower price and has more upside at a place like LSU. If you can recruit Norman you can recruit LSU

Lane's or Mike's? It matters here!

The “ultimatum” came before the BR visit. I think Lane probably stays at UM, but sending the family to BR is a typical Kiffin response to being told what to do (by Ole Miss). In hindsight UM might actually be what pushed his decision to leave, if he does.

He does care about his team. It seems like Ole Miss doesn't care about them though. Why force the issue? This is the most they've played for in a LONG time, and they're willing to sabotage it due to insecurity. But I also understand their stance on it too a bit. They don't want to be left standing trying to find a coach at the last minute.
