First of all, through Kiffin's coaching career, there has been a ton of crossover with current and former LSU coaches, as well as guys with Louisiana ties.

To start, Austin Thomas and Kelvin Bolden both previously worked under Kiffin. LSU's current General and Assistant GM. You would think they would remain in place. Jai Choudhary, Associate Director of Player Personnel, was once on Kiffin's Ole Miss staff.

Offensive
OC- Joe Cox or Charlies Weiss Jr

Note: Cox is the Co-OC @ Ole Miss. I think OM pushes hard to hold Weiss if Kiffin leaves abruptly. It should be noted that Weiss has coaches with Kiffin 8 of the last 12 football seasons.

RB- Frank Wilson or Kevin Smith

Note: Wilson worked with Kiffin at Tenn. Kevin Smith has been Kiffin's long time RB coach through FAU and Ole Miss. Smith was a stud RB at UCF and played in the NFL.

WR Coach- Gabe Fertitta or Jeremy Singleton

Notes: Fertitta has no connection to Lane, this is just a shakeup for recruiting purposes and a respected offensive coach. Would give in-roads to BR. Current OC at Nicholls. Singleton is a former Brother Martin/Houston/GA Southern WR who is currently an analyst at OM. He is the lead recruiter for Easton Royal.

TE Coach- Joe Cox maintains TE for OM, currently.

OL Coach- James Cregg or Rob Sale

Notes: Cregg has been on multiple staffs with Kiffin and formerly coached at LSU. Sale is the OL Coach at Florida and is an LSU alum. Both would be solid hires.

Defensive

Defensive Coordinator- Zach Arnett.

Notes: Arnett is the former Miss St HC, who did a rehab stint as an analyst at OM last year. He is currently on the support staff at Florida St.

DL Coach- Chris Kiffin or Ed Orgeron

Notes: Kiffin is Lane's brother, who has skins on the wall as a DL/LB coach and recruiting coordinator. Orgeron obviously has a long history with Lane. Would he be too disruptive?

LB- Jett Johnson or Ernie Sims

Notes: Jett Johnson is an assistant LB coach at UConn, with ties to Arnett at Miss State. Sims is the Asst LB coach at Florida St, currently where Arnett is on staff.

DB- Corey Raymond or Trovon Reed

Notes: Raymond is obviously the incumbent and an important piece of the staff. Trovon Reed has no connection, but is from Thibodaux and is an ascending recruiter and position coach.

Safeties: Wes Neighbors

Notes:Neighbors has stints on Kiffin's staff at FAU and now Ole Miss. He played at Bama, knows the league, and is well respected.

Special Teams- Coach Chris.

Notes: Nuff said.

I'd want Kevin Smith as running back coach and move frank into an analyst role.

No to Zach Arnett as dc.

Gabe "Hype Man" Fertitta is not respected at all so that is a lie nor would LSU be dumb enough to bring him there

I forget the exact story but I think lane would get what he wants

I agree about 19 but I’d bet he has better alignment with Kiffin’s schemes

I feel like Lane would be smart enough to keep Frank and Raymond but that’s just me.

We need someone who can recruit better than him. I think he’s a good developer but we gotta get the talent there. And I remember other than 2019 us not being a great blocking team.

Know nothing about this guy.

Keep him as far away from this program as possible.

Frank is stale but I think it will say a lot about Kiffin on which guys he keeps that he has worked with before

Rumblings have been Austin Thomas could be out

What makes you say this? OM is showing that they are willing to pay top dollar for a coach and a legitimate NIL package. I think they will be able to attract someone better if they want to

Kiffin is both Head Coach and offensive coordinator. He doesn’t need a true offensive coordinator . That’s probably why he has Weis who’s only played high school football and when he was the OC at his last school had one of the worse offenses in school history. All he needs is someone to help execute his plans and calls. No true offensive coordinator would want that job.
