I was foolish to think any coach worth their salt would ever consider the Gators over LSU. They would only use Florida as a smoke screen for their real desire. I don't even know why I thought this was a contest.
After all, Florida has never been a blue blood program or represented the conference historically like LSU has. Spurrier and Meyer don't really count due to them being "one-offs". I'm expecting Stricklin to announce Alabama A&M coach, Sam Shade, as Billy Napier's full-time replacement any day now.
Congrats on landing Kiffin. He's going to do great things.
